Srinagar, Feb 10 (KNO): The Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board has constituted an Audit Committee to review the accounts and properties of the Shrine of Mehboob ul Aalam (RA) at Gundpora village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, covering the period from 2010-11 onwards. The decision comes in response to public representations submitted to the Chairperson (MoS) of the J&K Waqf Board, followed by subsequent instructions for a thorough financial and administrative review of the shrine’s assets. As per an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the committee comprises Nazir Ahmad Wani, I/c Auqaf Section – Committee Head, Sajad Hussain Bhat, Administrator, Sub Unit Ahemi Shareef Bandipora, Member Manzoor Shah, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Section, Member Reyaz Ahmad Wani, Teacher, Sheikh Hamza Waqf Middle School Ahemi Shareef Bandipora. The committee has been tasked with reviewing financial records, inspecting properties, and submitting a comprehensive report with recommendations within 21 days. The committee has been directed to ensure transparency and accountability in managing shrine affairs—(KNO)
